Everyone notices the huge copper beach around which a
circular drive way is built. There is, in fact, a second copper beach hidden behind a row of holly trees that line part of Crowell road. The other visible
trees from the street are a beautiful Japanese maple on the front lawn and
very tall elm. The umbrella shaped elm grows on the south-west corner
of the house and provides complete shade for the house after noon; it keeps
the house wonderfully cool in summer but lets the light in during the
winter. Some privacy for the side lawn is provided by a burning bush. There
are also maples, locust and numerous other trees in the wooded parts of
the lot. |
